Purpose of this site

The purpose of this site is to give information about towns and sites along the GR5 (Grand Randonnée 5). This information involves, as far as available and relevant, for each town:

  • serial number as used in the applicable Topoguide
  • page number of map in Topoguide
  • number of services as available in that town:
    • medical help
    • bank / post office
    • bakery
    • supermarket or grocery ("épicerie")
    • restaurant / café

Subsequently come the addresses of overnight accomodations. For each address the GPS coordinates are given*, and finally the number of kilometers that this accomodation is off the GR5.

All information is also available in a Word file that can be downloaded (is easier to take with you :-)  ).

* those GPS coordinates have to come from you, the reader. So we count on your cooperation!

** Whether or not this plan will be completely doable also depends on your cooperation!

The laps in grey still have to be done in due time.
